Form an alliance

Fishlabs have announced a new Sci-fi MMO for iOS and Android called Galaxy on Fire – Alliances.

The game, set in the award winning Galaxy On Fire universe, is expected to release later this year and is a mix of Massive Multiplayer Online and Realtime Strategy gameplay, or MMORTS for short.

Using the now standard Free-to-play model for an MMO, the Hamburg-based Developer and Publisher are hoping to capture the imaginations millions of players, from fans of the series to new cadets.

"Never before in the eight years of our existence have we worked on a title with a team as big as the Alliances team,“ says Michael Schade, CEO of Fishlabs Entertainment. “Free-2-Play is an incredibly exciting and promising market for mobile developers and we’re really eager to create a premium-quality F2P title, which includes all the features and characteristics that have made our previous titles so unique and successful. As you can imagine, this is not an easy task, but we’ve got a team of highly experienced and talented industry specialists assigned to the development of Alliances and the playable alpha version of the game does already look pretty amazing.”

Fishlabs will be updating their Facebook page and blog with Developer Diaries and more information as the project progresses.

For those still to play the excellent space shooter and trading game Galaxy On Fire 2, the SD and HD versions are still free for a short time.
