Drawing the game.
We thought this might actually be a late April Fools joke caught in an email loop but, no, Sketch Nation Studio is real.
The app, free and on the App Store right now, allows you to create a game in one of several genres; Up Jumping (like Doodle Jump), Side Running, Side Flying, Down Jumping or Side Jumping.
Admittedly, the games are basic and the opportunities to create something unique are slim, but couple this with a full art editor where you can create your characters, enemies and backgrounds and it starts getting quite interesting.
While none of the resulting games will ever win a prize, our first attempt at a platform jumper was actually pretty easy to create and the option to sell the App on the App Store could even result in some money out of your new creation (we think ours is safer kept in the confinement of our office iPhone though).
