Music boxes are always fun!
iMusic Puzzle takes your music collection and turns it into a puzzle experience unique to every song you have on your iPod. Invariably it would be easier to show off the game with the aid of sound and vision, but publisher I-Play uses the following words to entertain our curiosity until the first trailer is released.
The game currently offers three puzzles:
- Shuffle. A portion of a song is played and then it explodes into multiple audio samples. You’ll have to arrange them in the correct order, making the music flow!
- Memory. A deck of audio segments is displayed, you need to listen and find the pairs with the same part of the song!
- Drop. Samples of different songs are falling; you need to quickly drop them in their corresponding song slot!
Taking music from your iPhone, iMusic Puzzle will let you jump into Arcade mode by randomly selecting 28 songs, or Quick Play by just selecting a single song from your collection. We’re apprehensive about music games that use procedurally generated content, but there have been enough successful examples that we can give this one the benefit of the doubt for now. iMusic Puzzle also uses Open Feint, letting you compare scores with friends, and publish achievements to social media platforms.
A release date and price have yet to be announced, but we’ll keep in time with the beat with updates as we get them.
