This here's the Climbot. Kinda cute really huh?
Canabalt took the iCommunity by storm last year, proving that the simplest of gameplay mechanics can often provide the most addictive experience. Building on that theory, comes Gravity Hook HD, an iPhone remake of the 2008 Flash game.
The concept is simple; as the Climbot, use your gravity hook to climb as far up the screen as possible, using special nodes as your leverage. Depending on how far away the node is, and your momentum and position relative to it at the time, you'll fly up the screen with varying degrees of velocity. Choosing the right nodes and timing your swings is key to getting as high as possible.
The Flash version of the game can be tried out here, and has already wasted more of my day than I'd care to mention. No date or price point has been confirmed for the iPhone version yet, but the large words 'Coming Soon' on the website fill us with hope that it won't be long
