Astro Ranch Finally Crash Lands on the App Store
by Jamin Smith on Monday 1st Mar 2010

Meet Cindy and Max, the intrepid intergalactic farmers

Harvest Moon meets Farmville meets Animal Crossing, in TAG Games Astro Ranch. After spending longer than expected going through Apple's approval process, the game has finally landed on the App Store, and can be snapped up for the very reasonably price of £1.79 ($2.99)

After crash landing on an alien planet, the obvious thing to do is build a farm, and that's exactly what plucky protagonists Cindy and Max decide to do. As well as growing and harvesting plants, Astro Ranch gives players the opportunity to raise livestock, go fishing and pan rivers for gold, not to mention a host of social features that bring your ranch into the real world.

I've been playing the game for a little while now, and the game has sunk it's hooks in fairly deep. Expect a review of the game up on the site sometime this week.

Features

• The first ever space themed farming game.

• Amazing alien world bought to life with awesome 3D graphics.

• Ranch management and quest based game-play.

• Wide variety of alien crops, animals, tools and upgrades.

• Fishing, gold panning and tree shaking mini-games.

• Social features allow you to connect and compete with friends

• Customise your game with downloadable clothes and décor (additional cost)
