"Smite me, almighty smither!"
A full color mini-series based on the immensely Pocket God iPhone game / entertainment app has been in the works and it was today announced that comic book lovers will be able to get their hands on it on the 3rd of August.
This new endeavor for the popular iPhone game turned franchise, will be available first in a digital version through iVerse Media, a digital distribution partner of Ape Entertainment, with a print version to be made available in late summer. The first issue of Pocket God will be one of four in a full color mini-series based on the best-selling iPhone app.
Pocket God itself is a peculiar iPhone experience that has had over 30 free updates spaced out keeping fresh content consistent. The pseudo-game places the user in the role of a deity that through numerous tools and ways to interact is free to torture or treat its islands inhabitants as they see fit. With over 2 million sales under their belt it's no surprise to see Bolt Creative take the brave leap into other mediums. Time will tell if the gamble pays off.
