Mass Effect Galaxy, an iPhone exclusive Mass Effect experience.
I managed to catch up with Craig Wien and Michele Aguilar, a product manager at EA Mobile, to talk about Mass Effect Galaxy, the iPhone game set to expand the Mass Effect universe and bridge the gap between Mass Effect 1 and 2. I'll be writing up a hands on preview later in the week but in the meantime I thought I would share a choice nugget of info straight from EA Mobile.
According to Michele EA are looking into ways to reward gamers who play the iDevice game by providing them with some kind of special unlock or additional content in Mass Effect 2. Given that no solid details could be offered it seems this is still to be locked down but there are many possible applications (an exclusive weapon or story line thread?). In terms of how this would work in practice it was suggested that a code could be generated within Mass Effect Galaxy which could then be redeemed on Xbox Live.
