It would appear to be.. almost confirmed.
Lucasarts are about as subtle as a bull in a china shop these days. IGN picked up on a recent tweet by the publisher/developer that offered the below iPhone sized wallpaper along with the following message...
"For our Monkey fans - an iPhone sized wallpaper. No reason. Wink wink nod nod."
Riiiiiight. While it could just be a reference to comments made last week by LucasArts CEO Darrell Rodriguez who said the following to Joystiq when asked about the possibility of their classic games getting an App Store release...
"On iPhone, you know Apple's policy that we can't talk about a release until it's ready to release. But it would make sense that we would do something like that if we were to go in that direction ... wink wink, nod nod."
So, to summarise we have the company CEO saying "it would make sense" for them to release their classic games on iPhone and then we have a tweet posting an iPhone sized wallpaper of Monkey Island. Nope, I'm stumped. Can any of you figure what the hell is going on?

I really hate how IGN put their watermark on EVERYTHING... it's not like they even own that image. But anyway, I'd be excited to give this a try hearing all the legacy it's got behind it. Wouldn't mind a port of Broken sword either, though with the recent release of Shadow of the Templars for Wii and DS, it seems unlikely.
