N.O.V.A. borrows it's control scheme from older brother Modern Combat: Sandstorm
As we draw closer and closer to the release of N.O.V.A. Gameloft have seen fit to release a bunch of new screenshots to show off the title. Being the thoughtful chaps we are we thought we would put them all in one place so you can absorb them all easily with a simple scroll of your mouse.
If you're not in the loop like all the cool kids here's what you need to know. Halo is an immensely popular FPS on the Xbox consoles that see's you taking control of a space marine and fighting off an alien horde using a variety of weapons. N.O.V.A. from Gameloft follows the formula to the letter. The good news is it looks utterly brilliant and thanks to an included multiplayer multiplayer deathmatch mode will probably make it the must have iPhone game as we enter 2010.

The game will feature 5 different weapons including what appears to be a rather badass rocket launcher.

Yeah, the Halo comparisons are really hard to avoid sometimes.

You know what would have been cool? If the lines in your armour indicated your health. Maybe in an update eh?
Some impressive looking lighting effects here, although I fear you may be looking at a dead enemy fading away. We prefer to see our fallen foe's linger, laughing at their misfortune.

graphics look really good, hopefully the controls are a little better than Eliminate and well see something like a $6 price
